Endowment
The functions of the Centre under the endowment mandate include to:
- establish functional developmental relationships with individuals (Alumni and non-Alumni of the University of Ilorin), corporate donors, investors, non-governmental organizations and government agencies & institutions to assist the university in the areas of provision of teaching, learning, research, and infrastructural facilities to the university.
- maintain workable Memorandum of Understanding with private or government institutions, corporate organizations and foundations in the areas of physical infrastructural development, possibly on the basis of Public-Private-Partnerships (PPPs).
- maintain database of Endowment Partners who are donors and investors to the university and updating such database as new donors and investors come on board.
Alumni Relations
The functions of the Centre under the Alumni Relations’ mandate include to:
- serve as a link between the University of Ilorin and all her Alumni bodies and their members all over the world.
- develop strategies for raising funds through Alumni bodies across the world to fund teaching, research, and other infrastructural projects in the University.
- create and maintain a database of all the Alumni of the university and annex such for the growth and development of the university.
Fund Raising
The functions of the Centre under the Fund Raising mandate include to:
- map out strategies to raise funds to finance teaching, research, and infrastructural development in the university.
- create and maintain a database of individuals, industries, Foundations, and corporate organizations that could be approached for donations to fund infrastructural needs of the university.
- maintain an excellent relationship with all the Alumni bodies across the globe in order to attract donations and facilitate investments to the university. To achieve this, random visits to the Alumni bodies across Nigeria and abroad is very essential.
